Your Story To Tell

I had lunch at The Odeon with Rob Reilly, the global CCO of WPP. Two things hit me. First, almost twenty years ago less than a mile from that booth
I was cutting class, window shopping, and immersing myself in what people now retroactively call “culture.” Second, Rob and I’s friendship basically
started over our mutual love with a New York institution called Supreme.

I’ve hung with Rob before, but always at the usual places award shows, after parties for award shows, offices with logos on the wall. This time was different. Just us,
plates, and conversation.

The chat rewired me a bit, the way the best conversations do. It made me think about the story I want to tell. My career, if I’m honest, has been built on just being
myself and letting others interpret that however they wanted. “Big Thinker.” “Culture Kid.” Labels I never would’ve given myself, but didn’t mind wearing when
others bestoyed them.

Now feels like the moment to take that back. To write my own story, with my own titles. More on that later.

For now thanks, Rob.
