Because of the COVID lockdown, we actually concepted and designed this shoe entirely over a group chat Mamadou, Garrett, Larry, and me. Storytelling
on a new Jordan model is never easy as there is no cultural tieback, but we found the thread and pulled it through. My favorite detail, the laser cut box
something we had to beg Larry to make happen (worth it). All in all, it was one of those rare projects that felt both personal and cultural and it even got the
stamp of approval from the late, great Virgil Abloh himself.
