Boomerang

People love to say life is short. But really it’s the longest thing any of us will ever experience.

After a long day at Complex’s Family Style, I’m back at CitizenM, maybe my favorite hotel chain. Just the right amount of kitsch. I’m flipping through channels
and land on Boomerang. For those who don’t know, it was Cartoon Network’s vault for the classics.

I used to watch it with my dad his shows, his era. The Flintstones. The Jetsons. Top Cat. Cartoons technically “before my time” but part of my time because
they were his.

Now? The lineup’s different. No Hanna Barbera. Instead, Teen Titans. Which dropped in 2003. 22 years ago. Somehow, that’s considered “retro.”

Life isn’t short. It’s just long enough for your childhood to end up on Boomerang.
